A few years back, a flotilla of protesting kayakers surrounded an oil drilling platform that was passing through Puget Sound. Somebody commented that their kayaks, apparel, helmets and practically everything that kept them afloat were petroleum products. Not to mention how they transported themselves and their gear to the water’s edge. It would’ve been interesting to ask them if they were willing to give all of that, and their standard of living, up for their cause. Or if they had given it any thought at all.
Them: “It’s not the same thing!”
My son was there when this happened. He worked for TransOcean and was on the platform. He sent me a photo of those idiots in their Kayaks. He is now a PostMan and is a Vet from Iraqi Fredom Service.
