The alphabet agencies get caught so often that illegally spying on their “subjects” must be standard practice.

“Memo: You can’t trust Microsoft.”

Did you read the article ?

the Govt Ordered Microsoft to comply, and Ordered them to keep their compliance secret.

As soon as Microsoft had any legal way to challenge these orders they successfully did, and they disclosed immediately to Veritas what had happened.

I won’t exactly say I’m optimistic, but between Hunter’s laptop and this Project Veritas news, it seems like things might be cracking for the Biden team.

My expectation is still that Biden and Harris are each forced out of office but that Hillary is named as vice president in the middle so that Hillary becomes president before 2024.

All the bad news for Biden may be an indication that the game is afoot.

The law has no power over government conduct. Constitutional rights are illusory.

The government will snoop to the extent that technology facilitates.

It's been that way for decades, at least. Laws are passed to "legitimize" ongoing surveillance, and literally 100% of internet traffic is available to snoop.

Because it's for safety.

The laws have what appear to be remedies written into them, but these are illusory too. There was a case consolidated in the Nonth circuit, oh, maybe eight, ten years ago. Those snooped on "had the receipts." Case concluded by the courts acccepting state secret as the defense.

There is no remedy at law for a rogue government. The courts are part of the same apparatus that rules. Nothing but tough talk and platitudes about how privacy is sacrosant. All BS, by an "all BS" government.

What was the actual “Probable Clause” they cited? And why in the hell would ANY judge ever sign off on something like this? Maybe it’s time to get rid of Judges or severely limit their authority over 4th Amendment issues. Personally I think every last government employee involved in this Constitutional Absurdity belongs in PRISON for a Minimum of 5 years for this travesty and Complete Civil Asset Forfeiture, just like all other Organized Crime Gangs.

My first thought when NYT reported the laptop wasn't Russian disinforamtion, was that the stage is being set to roll Biden out, and the replacement in.

And the crooked manipulators will use the process as a show of thier unfailing commitment to the principle of law.

They go to Judges who I have little respect for.

Unfortunately today, like many swat teams, they seem to be the rule not the exception.

Offhand I cannot even think of a fringe case where I agree with civil forfeiture.

.

An FBi / DoJ lawyer forged Documents to get FISAs on Trump and his entire circle.

He forged multiple documents to the court.

Clinesmith got Zero Jail time and Zero fine - and the DC Judge called him “a good man” at sentencing.

He still is eligible to practice law, and is.

Why this would surprise anyone a tiny bit is a complete mystery.

You’re an helluva an Optimist.

No one paid a price for all the shenanigans and skullduggery, it’s not good logic to assume that is going to start happening when they all got fat book deals and network contracts.

Hypothetically if Msft told them to F-Off, how do you think that would play out ?

In reality Msft does not have that option.
