#Ukraine: We managed to identify this bizarre "container", captured today by the UA forces near #Kyiv.

It is likely to be the command post of one of the most potent Russian EW system - 1RL257 Krasukha-4, used to suppress AWACS radars & radar reconnaissance satellites.

It represents billions of dollars in top secret r&d, and if NATO engineers get their hands on it, they can probably patch/upgrade their systems to be immune/resilient to it's effects. So yes. Major intelligence failure by Russia.

This system consists of two trucks, one with the antenna assembly and the other with the command post

Looks like the Russians left in such a hurry they weren't able to reload the command post on its truck and had to abandon it
