When do the homeless create their own form of policing and justice...I suspect it will come down to a form of tribal warfare, might makes right sort of thing.
Meth lab fire?
Large explosion (BOOOOOM!) followed by a large fireball, black smoke, and lots of smaller explosions (POP POP POP) during the ensuing fire at the tiny home village at E12th St and 2nd Ave
That’s the real problem here, not the “tiny houses.” The leftists who run these cities with tiny homes just think throwing more money at the problem will solve it.
Ya know, the Park Service has signs saying “Don’t feed the bears” for a reason. It isn’t good for the bears, and it isn’t good for the tourists.
California should learn from the Park Service.
with the price of lumber these days im surprised the ‘homeless’ who were given tiny houses didn’t disassemble them and sell the wood and plumbing, nails, insulation etc etc etc
The article asks:
“Should the homeless actually be given free homes by the state without paying for them?”

I suspect they probably don’t have much in the way of 401Ks or stock options to liquidate for quick funds with which to purchase real estate.
Made homeless.
It's like the adage that money returns to its rightful owners.
Socialism fails...every time it’s tried.
The only thing you give freeloaders is a one way ticket to somewhere else.

I read the article and it’s the same old argument that was used by Ted Kennedy, and other activists at the time, back in the 60’s for the inner-city folks that couldn’t afford healthcare. The medical professionals would treat these folks at little to no cost, but Kennedy and others claimed it wasn’t the same level of care as the regular folks would get in the hospitals.
Now these activists are claiming that these tiny homes aren’t built to the same standards as regular homes and it’s jeopardizing their lives.
So they formed a collective of people who are in the position they are from making poor decisions, and let them make all the community decisions. And expected anything else?
Meth
To solve society’s problems, you need to have as many people as possible working as productively as possible for as long as possible. Then there’s money to take care of those who are UNABLE to take care of themselves.
Taking money from productive people and giving it to the indolent guarantees the indolent will become more indolent.
“Tiny Houses
In The Hood
Make me happy (make me happy)
Make me feel good (make me feel good)
Little boxes on the hillside
Little boxes made of ticky tacky
Little boxes on the hillside
Little boxes all the same
There’s a pink one and a green one
And a blue one and a yellow one
And they’re all made out of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same
And the people in the houses
All went to the university
Where they were put in boxes
And they came out all the same
And there’s doctors and lawyers
And business executives
And they’re all made out of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same
And they all play on the golf course
And drink their martinis dry
And they all have pretty children
And the children go to school
And the children go to summer camp
And then to the university
Where they are put in boxes
And they come out all the same
And the boys go into business
And marry and raise a family
In boxes made of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same
There’s a pink one and a green one
And a blue one and a yellow one
And they’re all made out of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same
