Logistics is not the strong suit of the Russian army. If somehow the Ukrainians were able to disrupt the Russian Navy’s ability to land troops and supplies from the Black Sea into southeastern Ukraine, the Russian position in Ukraine would be untenable.

Logistics have NEVER been a strong suit of the Russian military. Russia’s strategy is to intimidate and threaten, and bluff; if those don’t work, their credibility is suspect and they are pretty much forced to move in physically, and they are not prepared for that because they never PREPARED for that eventuality. Russia’s military adventures are more often than not “Oh, shit!” moments.
