Materials were diverted to the War. Rubber, sugar, metals.

I went back and read what I wrote, and I wasn’t clear enough…….if there was a War here…..ON OUR OWN SOIL. The Constitution would probably be in limbo.

I wasn’t referring to outside of the continental U.S.
But, since you brought it up, there were things done that were not good.
Even if those things were the right thing to do, they weren’t clean.

Neither was Kuwait. Or South Korea. If you want to be honest, neither is Turkey. I am not really sure it matters. The point is that they are fighting the Russians.

How about considering the average Ukrainians good guys. There are also probably plenty of good guys among average Russians, but those are either not part of the invasion or have zero control over their activities therein. But the average Ukrainians by pretty much every account are standing up and trying to defend their homeland as well as the overage citizen in Ukraine or other parts of the USSR has long been touted as doing during WWII. And their actions then were not, entrely, because the KGB was pushing them forward at gunpoint.

The elites in charge on both sides had had long rotten track records, the average folks deserve better governance. And the election leading to Zelensky was sold to the average Ukrainians as being against the corruption of both the two, opposing prior governments, bringing in allegedly new blood to wash both clean. Maybe it was all a big con but I'd bet that's why most of their electorate thought they voted that way. Maybe they need more rounds to fix their problem. Just like we obviously do! Ideally they survive to work their problem, younger Russians wake up and are able to start working their problem, and we manage to overcome ours. Da*m any of the corrupt elites on all sides. But the good normal people, Ukrainian, American and even innocent out of the loop Russians, need to survive.
