Hahahahaha! Maybe he’s a bad of a thug as they say, but I have to agree with him on this one. I’ve banned those platforms from my life. I read a letter to the American people that he wrote several years ago. Maybe he was lying through his teeth, but what he wrote struck a chord. If he’s really a murderous war criminal, at least he is a talented and astute one. It’s more than I can say for Biden, and that creeps me out.
I don’t know how valid this is, but one article I read said that Russia is the 7th most corrupt government in the world, but Ukraine is the 4th most corrupt . . . decisions, decisions.
Hard to see anyone here making more than pennies off of a blog by advertising it here. We may think we’re the center of the conservative movement, but we’re tiny, and typically well-informed enough to be suspicious of the motives of the Left (well, except on Ukraine).

Regardless of the negatives of Facebook / Instagram, there are almost 3 BILLION Facebook accounts (almost 2 billion used daily), and almost 1.4 Billion Instagram accounts. A lot of people not included above do not have accounts, but often end up viewing FaceBook or Instragram pages for everything from flash sales at local groceries (I do that) to postings from an overseas musician (I’ve done that) to traffic report updates (yeah, have done that too - not often). The most recent data I could find indicated ~71 million Facebook users in Russia.
Vkontakte sees much heavier use in Russia, but apparently does not have more users.
Simply banning a platform essentially concedes it carries information the populace can’t be trusted to use their own judgment on. (The same as, say, banning PDJT.)
This will probably backfire, esp. with the under 40 crowd in Russia.

Well, the Russians are correct in this case. They should also look at Twitter and Google.

The social experiments they did caused suicides. It was only looking back at the years they were conducted. They make Putin look like Mr Rogers.
