It depends.
Some early Teslas got lifetime free juice at their chargers.
I think that went away years ago for more recent purchases.
Some employers offer free juice as an incentive. My buddies daughter works for a large pharma company and she gets free juice at work.

It’s spring break time now and you’re starting to see the pics on Tweater of long lines at the charging stations on popular routes.

There’s a mall by me where the charging is free. I think they do it to be hip, happening, cool,..

I see lots of Tesla EV’s on I-5 north of Seattle.

A Tesla cannot make it from Seattle to Spokane without a charging stop. What will you do when you stop at some small town enroute on I-90 and there are 30 EV’s lined up awaiting a charge?

Can you imagine trying to visit Yellowstone driving a Tesla?

There are a few free chargers open to the general public -- that's where the longest lines are and they're generally slow chargers. Some hotels have a free charge as a benefit like a free breakfast.

If I get an EV about half of my charging will be free from my home solar system. But that's not about "saving the earth" or any of that hogwash. It's about saving my budget from the Dims' energy policies and trying to limit our freedom.
