I remember when pro-Russian forces were on here two days into the war claiming Russia controlled Sumy and Chernihiv.
Three weeks later those cities are still free. Will wait to see if this news is similar nonsense.
If it was me, I wouldn’t be wasting much men and resources defending the breakaway areas.
I check both side sources and they say no change in Sumy or Chernigov, so I don’t know what this source is doing. Seems like there is no way it is true at all.
The Russian side are claiming major changes in Izyum though.
There are claims some Ukrainian troops are leaving for the south. No idea if it is bluff or true. I know people towards the south so that is why I am trying to follow reports, even though most everything is a lie in a war.
