It could be a game changer if Zelensky or Putin wake up dead one day.
Putin’s death would likely end the war, Zelensky’s would likely not.
If Zelensky signed a peace deal (or surrender) the world would mostly see that as a legitimate action of the Ukrainian Government. If he is killed, anything but continued resistance to the Russians will be cast into doubt as a sell out by puppets installed by Russia.
Zelensky is critical to the legitimacy of any peace settlement.
