The brutal assault on the city of Mariupol in Ukraine will be remembered for "centuries to come," President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned Sunday.
"The besieged Mariupol will go down in history of responsibility for war crimes. The terror the occupiers did to the peaceful city will be remembered for centuries to come," Zelenskyy said in a video address on Telegram.
Mariupol, located in southeast Ukraine, has been the subject of a brutal assault that has laid waste to the city's homes, schools, and maternity hospitals. Some residents have been sheltering for weeks, and many are without food, water, or electricity.
Last week, Russian forces bombed a movie theater in the city where over 1,000 civilians were sheltering. On Friday, authorities reported that 130 people had been rescued from the theater while 1,300 were still trapped. The number of casualties is unknown.
Multiple attempts at humanitarian corridors and ceasefires have failed, despite being agreed upon with the Russians.
"The more Ukrainians will tell the world about it, the more support we find. The more Russia uses terror against Ukraine, the worse the consequences will be for it," Zelenskyy said on Sunday.

This morning the Ukraine’s are claiming that when I try to get in to rescue those people Russian snipers kill the first responders with rifle fire. Seems to me the Ukraine’s and had plenty of time to ferret out snipers from the surrounding area.
Truth is the first casualty of war. Trust but verify.

There sure are a lot of those Azov people. It thought they were all in Donblas? How did they get all the way to Mariupol?
About 26,000 Azov Nazis, funded and armed by our CIA, Democrats, and RINOs. The Azovs are surrounded in Mariupol, and a few other cities and small towns in the Donbas.
If the Russians were unconcerned about civilian casualties, the Azov terrorists would have been wiped out two weeks ago.
It is Azov committing the war crimes, shooting escaping civilians, torturing civilians, tying teenage boys and girls to trees and poles, and leaving them half naked in the freezing cold. They are using these teens as shields, to keep the Russians from getting close enough to pick off the Azov snipers.

I have. My conclusion is that they’re all liars.
One thing is for sure. Russia illegally invaded a sovereign country. Nazis, no Nazis, some Nazis, it doesn’t matter. There was NO legal justification for sending 75,000 men, tanks, artillery, and warplanes into Ukraine.
