Everybody dies.
Christians die just the same way everyone else does.
I have attended hundreds and hundreds of dying patients in my career and have been at the bedside for several dozen at the moment of death. The belief that someone died because they didn't believe enough, or didn't believe hard enough, or believed the wrong way, is one of the worst, most hurtful, and at the end of the day false and heretical beliefs I could even imagine.
I worked at a cancer hospital at one point, and there was always some nut parading around outside preaching this heresy.
Jesus NEVER promised that his followers would live forever, that they wouldn't get sick, that their flesh would be immune to all the ailments that atheists, tax collectors, and idolaters suffer from.
He promised eternal life for his followers, but not in their earthly bodies in this realm.
Mr. Justice Thomas is 73 years old with co-morbidities. If he gets good care, he should survive most infections, but mortality from infection starts to climb at about his age, and it would be very bad to lose him at this critical moment in our country's history.

God says He heals all of our diseases; he doesn’t stop us from dying of old age.
double mindedness by putting faith in the medical community (who does NOT heal) does not help
Years ago, I was laid off from a job during a recession. I went down to the unemployment center to register. There were a number of us waiting our turn, when in walked an old man (think the reverend in the 80s movie “ The Right Stuff”, and started yelling at us “YOU ARE BEING PUNISHED FOR YOUR SINS!!”
Well, as you can imagine, none of us were to happy with him.
The manager finally came over and politely made him leave.
Those people are around, they should be spending their time praying, rather than tearing people down.
Thank you for posting this!! I agree 100%! The idea that a believers never gets sick is absolutely NOT Biblical....Praying much for Justice Thomas that God will touch him and restore him to perfect health.

this one is more to the point — that the soul shall live even after physical death if you believe in Jesus (BTW nothing here says you’re damned if you DON’T believe in Jesus. I happen to believe in Jesus and the miracle of Easter Sunday when a dead man who lived a perfect life was resurrected after the demanded sacrifice)
