AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Four people were shot and wounded in downtown Austin, Texas, early Sunday as the city hosts the annual South by Southwest festival, police said.

The Austin Police Department told people to avoid the area at around 2:50 a.m., warning via Twitter that the gunman was still at large.

However, police tweeted that a suspect was in custody shortly before 5 a.m.

Police and the Austin-Travis County EMS said the victims’ injures were not life-threatening, and all four had been taken to the hospital.

This was at 6th and Trinity streets aka dirty sixth. That area is HOOD AF as bad as South Baltimore or South Philly it just happens to twice a year attract tourists who don’t know the area well. All the white folks are three miles to the west in the upscale warehouse district or more and more to the east in the fully gentrified Eastside which used to be like Baltimore or Philly it got pushed out due to million dollar condos and high end shops.

“That area is HOOD AF”

Thanks, I don’t know Austin, so it is nice to get the facts the ‘news’ for some reason neglects to tell us.

They put a huge facility for the homeless called The ARCH just three short blocks north of 6th Street. Austin police also have their headquarters close by, but the petty crooks, homeless, and dangerous weirdos haunt 6th street. The city tries to clean up for “South by” but the bad elements flood the zone. Best to buddy up when visiting downtown Austin for fun. Especially between 5pm and 9am.

Since taken over by Kalifornia libtards, Austin has become very violent.

Lack of description in the first sentence is all the description we need to know. Who knows the name of the NYC homeless serial killer from just a couple weeks ago? It was front page news when it appeared to be a white man. When it turned out to be a light skinned black man. POOF. The story has vanished.
