If I were the Russians I would be making a deal with Musk on ways to break sanctions, should it come to that. He is a third party player in effect.

The Russian attitude in, well, everything, seems to be reflexively zero-sum, petty and hostile. And this goes back to old Soviet attitudes, that have not varied even as the system changed. That is vastly stupid.

This may have to do (cause? effect?) with Russias failure to develop manufacturing and export industries, other than natural resource extraction.

I think it's a Russian/Slavic thing.

This may have to do (cause? effect?) with Russias failure to develop manufacturing and export industries, other than natural resource extraction.

Good observation - the guys on The Duran were talking about this yesterday.

One thing the Russian butt-headedness may have done for them is help the Russian people escape from the coming Global Digital Dictatorship.

After watching the TechnoFascists gleefully cancelling every Russian in sight - including ones who have been dead for two hundred years - they're not going back into that particular box canyon.

Meanwhile, we're stuck in the trap here in the LeftWest.

a one megaton starfish prime type 200 mile suborbital nuke would clear anything that happened to be in Ukrainian vacinity..Starlink operates at 3 layers at 300 to about a thousand miles up. Star kink doesn’t operate at geo synchronous orbits. The emp might damage even Russia so I’d bet Putin wouldn’t try it.

Putin knows he cannot shoot down hundreds of mini-satellites.

Heads up, Elon.

That means Putin - the former KGB colonel - will seriously think about shooting you.

“Google is your friend.”

So you can’t say what Putin’s objectives are, despite you claiming in post 6 he stated them clearly.

Putin wants a friendly Ukraine so he did this “special military operation” to just quickly replace the government before anyone would notice enough to care.

If this was the pre-internet era then he would have probably gotten away with it.

He used lethal force and committed mass murder. The only place he and his cronies that obey his orders will ever be accepted outside Russia will be at the Hague.

The truth is usually against those using lethal force outside their own country. V

“But they are happy to kill 5 year old “Nazis”...”

I have the deepest heartfelt hatred for the evil ideologies of racism and fascism.

But Yah, that NAZI Battalion thingy...

Some FR folks who have claimed military service to me over the years, have revealed they don’t know even the most basic Order of Battle, OR approx size range of a BN -

Meaning some of these MAY not be veterans.

— A *large battalion in the Army or Marines would top out at 700-800 personnel.

— The largest BN’s in modern military warfare have been close to 1,000 personnel.

— The average BN’s would be between 500-700 personnel, regardless of country.

— Small BN’s can still consist of about 350ish personnel (however, when this all, they are often in some form of upward transition, or decommissioning)

Otherwise armies around he world would be rewriting their long standing “Orders of Battle”.

As such, how is it a NAZI BN (BN average 500-700 personnel), could be blamed for conflict across an area roughly the size of Texas, and be able to restrain several cities of hundreds of thousands from leaving, while simultaneously rappelling 150,000 Russian personnel ?

REALLY...? /s

They must be armed with nukes or something...

By the way, fascism (state control of corporation’s) is structurally built in to the CIS’s Alma-Ata Protocols, and racism and fascism are rampant in many locations across Russia, including real NAZI groups and movements. And it has been an issue since WWII, up to the present.

Does this mean all Russians, or the average Russian is fascist and racist, of course not. That would be shear stupidity based on shear debased ignorance.

But the same is true of Ukraine!

And when Ukraine finally pulled out of the CIS, it no longer has lawfully mandated corporatism and state control over corporation’s.

From this very real factor, Ukraine neces less structurally fascist than Russia and the COS in spades.

Additionally, having lived a d worked long term in both, we experienced state control over, and denial and persecution of religion.

Again, when Ukraine pulled out of the CIS, it no longer had to enforce the reciprocal CIS laws of the Russian Federation regarding religious practices.

These are actually a big deals, and almost nobody wants to shed light on these shifts, and others within Ukraine.

The name and acronym of CIS is like a leftist slogan or bumper sticker, they generally mean the opposite of reality.

You are right on!

Pretty much anything which could disrupt UA sat orbits, could and may well disrupt sat’s in Moscow’s orbit -

Fundamental, but right call out.

If the Russians can use proxy companies and proxy fighters, Ukraine should be able to use proxy tech —

A couple of observations about that, maybe they don’t have the ability to shoot down satellites, even if they do how many and how accurate are the satellite killer missiles.

You must not remember in the late 1970's it was all over the news that the Soviets had the dreaded killer satellite.

I'll give away a national secret that is not so secret now.   The Soviets did have so called "killer satellites" but all they were was a small satellite that could be maneuvered next to one of our satellites and exploded so the shrapnel would take it out.   Is there any reason you can think of that the Russians couldn't do the same thing forty five years later?

Let me rephrase my honest propaganda -

- If the Russian/CIS CDR’s can use proxy companies and proxy fighters to kill civilians (including women and children), in an offensive

- Ukraine should be able to use proxy tech to defend and stop the military carrying out the Syrian/Chechen/Georgian SOP barbary —

I have no idea what’s real and what’s not anymore with all the propaganda flying around.
I agree. It’s hard to tell by reading the MSM, tweets and Facebook posts what side to be on. But, I’ll stand by the citizens who are getting their lives taken and their homes destroyed for now.
