The North Atlantic Treaty Organization was created in 1949 by the United States, Canada, and several Western European nations to provide collective security against the Soviet Union.

I don’t see the Ukraine listed there. Because at the time they were part of Russia.

Well, the Russian-ran USSR bloc/Warsaw Pact.

Though the reasoning was still good.

There would be no NATO-related military crashes if there were no NATO. The reason for NATOs existence was the USSR.

But the USSR went out of business in 1991, NATO should have put up it’s own closed for business sign since it’s raison d’etre existed no longer.
