Given the high number of general officers going down, the question has to be asked: Fragging?

Not fragging. The Russian military is showing its leadership is poor.

Officers between the NCOs and generals are supposed to lead squads and companies. Generals are supposed to direct units, make sure logistics are running, and make tactical and strategic decisions. Instead Russian generals are running motorized and infantry combat directly. If generals are doing a lieutenants job, that means he lieutenants can't do their jobs.

This makes generals or the officers with a crowd milling around them primary targets.
