In a video address to the German parliament, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky invoked Cold War rhetoric, criticising the left-wing government of Chancellor Olaf Scholz for prioritising economics over peace.
Recalling the famous line from America’s President Ronald Regan — who is credited with overseeing the fall of the Soviet Union — Zelensky said before the Bundestag: “Mr Scholz, tear down this wall!”

Zelensky’s penchant for engaging in theatrics and sermonizing is getting tiresome.
I am sure it took him longer to learn to play the piano with his organ, than to memorize these words.
Zelensky has been given a script to read, nothing more. He himself knows nothing about Martin Luther King or Ronald Reagan. Why would he?
His appearances the last few days have the feel of a cheap and saccharine Hollywood awards show.

Actually I don’t know what he said. The entire Liberal caucus was sitting there with their stupid masks on, looking like goofs. At least Zelensky shows his face.
He probably was briefed to say we are kind and caring and a great example to everybody. Except of course, Putin, Xi, and all the other bad hombres out there with guns and stuff.
He is a lot more histrionic than most dirtbag politicians. And as least as sleazy as many of them. An ineffectual leader to whom the Russians may not even negotiate with if Z keeps it up.(no pun intended)
