He has clearly never experienced being held to account for what he chooses to do ir not do on a daily basis. He seems to still be in denial that being the NYC mayor means that his pre-written or all-too-pat answers to questions are not necessarily going to be accepted at face value. This can be a shock to the system if one has been immune from accountability one’s whole life—if that is in fact the case with Eric Adams. He is the former longtime head of One Hundred Blacks in Law Enforcement, during which he may carefully have set himself up always to be the one asking difficult questions, never answering them.
