“A regional government source told RFE/RL’s Caucasus service that 130 contract servicemembers from Dagestan have been killed in Ukraine so far.”

“Every day there a less losses for the Russians.”

The Russian’s have changed strategies. The early days of the war the plan was sending under defended convoys into towns to see if it they would be contested. Very quickly each convoy hit a place where the answers was yes and they took a lot of casualties, retreated, and joyous Ukrainians would take selfies next to what they left behind.

Now the Russians are being much more systematic. The progress is slow, indicating plenty of resistance, but we get fewer photos. I’m sure a lot of Russians died taking Bucha in the last few days, but they do now hold and no one is taking photos. We are unlikely to ever know what it cost them.

Question to ORYX: “Holy shit, we are fast approaching 1500 pieces. Do you have big backlog?”

Answer from ORYX: “Very big”

ORYX has a large backlog of photos/videos to get through. Contrary to what some people think, they are actually trying to be accurate and fair in their cataloging.

“Putin Is Likely to Make Nuclear Threats If War Drags, U.S. Says”

President Vladimir Putin can be expected to brandish threats to use nuclear weapons against the West if stiff Ukrainian resistance to Russia’s invasion continues, draining conventional manpower and equipment, according to a new assessment by the Pentagon’s Defense Intelligence Agency.

“Protracted occupation of parts of Ukrainian territory threatens to sap Russian military manpower and reduce their modernized weapons arsenal, while consequent economic sanctions will probably throw Russia into prolonged economic depression and diplomatic isolation,” Lieutenant General Scott Berrier, director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, said in its new 67-page summary of worldwide threats.

The combination of Ukraine’s defiance and economic sanctions will threaten Russia’s “ability to produce modern precision-guided munitions,” Berrier said in a statement prepared for the House Armed Services Committee.

“New UK assessment: “Logistical problems continue to beset Russia’s faltering invasion of Ukraine. Reluctance to manoeuvre cross-country, lack of control of the air and limited bridging capabilities are preventing Russia from effectively resupplying their forward troops.””
