So I read every reply, and not one mentions that the reason for the reduced buy is the Block 4 upgrade is late, and the DoD doesn’t want the expense of upgrading that many planes later.

This doesn’t affect the eventual total count.

The F-35, by the way, is second to none in many aspects.
