A Ukrainian Town Deals Russia One of the War’s Most Decisive Routs
WSJ ^ | 16-MAR-2022 | Yaroslav Trofimov

A Kalashnikov rifle slung over his shoulder, Voznesensk’s funeral director, Mykhailo Sokurenko, spent this Tuesday driving through fields and forests, picking up dead Russian soldiers and taking them to a freezer railway car piled with Russian bodies—the casualties of one of the most comprehensive routs President Vladimir Putin’s forces have suffered since he ordered the invasion of Ukraine.

...

Russian survivors of the Voznesensk battle left behind nearly 30 of their 43 tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, multiple-rocket launchers and trucks, as well as a downed Mi-24 attack helicopter, according to Ukrainian officials in the city. The helicopter’s remnants and some pieces of burned-out Russian armor were still scattered around Voznesensk on Tuesday.

Russian forces retreated more than 40 miles to the southeast, where other Ukrainian units have continued pounding them. Some dispersed in nearby forests, where local officials said 10 soldiers have been captured.

This conflict is over for all practical purposes.

I've been hearing that since Day One of Russia's invasion. It's hard to know what's what through the fog of war but two things are clear - this conflict is not over, and Russia is facing a much harder fight than it was expecting.

Fighting the most vile terrorists on earth.

I beg to differ. The controlling Mexican culture, our NEIGHBORS if you live along the southern border, are second to none. They proudly behead dozens and leave the corpses where unwary people can find them, as a "message." Honor killings are common and accepted. And they are being allowed to come HERE unrestrained right now.

When I was a cop, the most brutal, bloody crime scenes were ones involving our "peaceful, hard-working neigbors to the south."

Terrified eighteen and nineteen young men, hungry, far from home witnessing the horrors of war and the sudden deaths and maiming of their comrades become capable of any atrocity. Religion, ethnicity or cultural origin have nothing to do with it. The only thing that mitigates it is military discipline.

At this point, all we know of Putin is what the MSM is telling us about him.

Thanks for the link. Refreshing to hear sober minds discussing the situation without propaganda. I also appreciate the honesty when they speak of things they don’t know, as nobody really does at this point.Definitively that is.

“I consider this conflict a complete blackout.”

But this is a historic, unprecedented war in that one side military has suffered no loss of personnel or equipment. That’s a first!

But I’m thinkin’ what with all these amazing victories Ukraine is racking up (while sustaining no losses itself) where it utterly destroys the entire Russian military at least 10th times per day, we can stop worrying.

At this rate the Ukes will have Moscow surrounded and it’s forces totally destroyed (for the last time) before the end of the week.
So, time to move on and just let the mighty Uke military do mop up.

Hmmmm….

Trying to figure out:

What your response has to do with my comment ?

Are you a proponent of sending US troops to Ukraine?

How are the conscript Russian forces like terrorists? Are they to be lumped into the same group of the AlAqueda, ISIS, AbuSayef, IQAP, Hamas, Muslim Brotherhood, theCartels, FARC, BokoHaram?

If so, then every military force is a terrorist organization?

The most vile people on earth currently reside in the White House.

It wasn’t Vlad “The Impaler” Putin who threatened to fire me from my job for not injecting an experimental HIV COVID dosage into my bloodstream.

That order came from the scumbag communist puppet Biden! /spit

Listening to Biden on TV.

If I got the numbers correct:

Sending 800 more Stingers, 9000 more Javelins, 20 million rounds of ammo, and “drones”. Didn’t specify what kind, but sounds like Switchblades.

Although they might wanna retitle the video -
unless they’re going for some kind of pun there?
“The War for intensive purposes has been decided”

The correct term is “for all intents and purposes”.

The retired General may be completely wrong, but I believe MacGregor before any of the corporate media propagandist, who are painting this puppet Zelensky as a hero. He’s a guy who was bad comic, put in office three years ago, and has since gained a personal wealth of $1.3 billion. Even Nancy Pelosi can’t tough that. Neo-Nazis are running half of the country. I have no dog in this fight, it’s Russia v Neo-Nazis I hope they both kill each other. But in reality this conflict is over.

“Maybe then it’s over..”

It is, as they say, all over but the shouting. There are only two options for the US at this point:
Either 1) Tell Russia to go ahead and take Ukraine or 2) the US goes to war with Russia.
I doubt most people are all that ready to get into a nuclear duel/shoot out with Russia out of love for Ukraine.
