We called them watermelons. Green on the outside and red on the inside.

now they are trying to blame russia for environmentalists! So by that reckoning democrats and liberals are the ones being controlled by putin. Someone should ask democrats if they know they have been duped and now shouldn’t worry about climate or do they agree with putins rabid enviro’s
Everything is putins fault. Trump apparently was right again, the man is a genius! Doing all of this subterfuge and wrecking western elections and energy goals

Environmentalists don’t need much of a push. They hate America and everything about it.

It's modis operendii for the Russkies.

Back when I was in the Army, I was stationed in (then West) Germany. I was in a fairly small town that happened to be the HQ of 56th Feild Artillery Brigade. They were the HQ of the three Pershing missile battalions. The Soviets weren't too worried about the Pershing or P-1a, as their range was limited to targets in Poland. The Pershing 2, OTOH, could hit Moscow. That caused the Soviets to start funneling a crap ton of money to every whack-a-doo "peace" organization they could find, especially in Germany.

From what we were briefed on, all that money the 'peace groups' were getting could be eventually traced all the way back to 2 Dzerzhinsky Square...HQ of the KGB.

I don't think the KGB still exists, but whatever organization replaced them is likely responsible for the tomfoolery we're seeing today.

Not just hem. Look at every windmill. Look at every solar panel. Look at the stock portfolios of the politicians. I doubt Putin was as effective pushing this garbage as corporations have been.

Somebody with a computer (mine is in the repair shop) do a search of leaders/staff of the Natural Resources Defense Council in the 1980s and see if Damu Smith shows up.

If so, Smith, at that time, was a Communist Party USA supporter and friend of key covert Party organizer in the South, Jack O’Dell, a strongly suspected KGB agent.

I was walking behind them at an anti-defense major protest at the Washington Monument. O’Dell turned to Smith and smiled, saying, We’ve won. We’ve won”!

As I recall, this protest was about the MX train-carried missiles and the whole Nuclear Freeze campaign, which was a Soviet operation from the start. It may have been the Mobilization For Survival rally in 1983.
