Poland's Kaczynski calls for peacekeeping mission in Ukraine

WARSAW, March 15 (Reuters) - An international peacekeeping mission should be sent to operate in Ukraine, the leader of Poland's ruling party said on Tuesday during a press conference in Kyiv alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

"I think that it is necessary to have a peace mission - NATO, possibly some wider international structure - but a mission that will be able to defend itself, which will operate on Ukrainian territory," Jaroslaw Kaczynski said during the conference, which was broadcast on Polish television.

Poland becomes the first NATO members to call for sending troops across the border.

Biden will try to stop them, but he won't succeed forever. Unless this war ends soon expect several of Russia's former victims to join the fight.

There is an old joke:

An American general asks a Polish soldier who they would fight first if Germany and Russia invaded again.

“First we would fight the Germans, because that would be business”

“Then we would fight the Russians because that would be for fun.”

If he actually said this, Ukraine must be trying to work out something with Russia that gives the Z regime a face-saving way out.

There’s an implication that both sides agree on the peacekeepers. Hard to see that at this point with NATO. Maybe some other entity that is trusted by both sides, possibly Israel (of they can spare the men) or Israel or Turkey.
