WASHINGTON (AP) — The federal government has provided more than $2 billion to help cover funeral costs for more than 300,000 families of people who died from COVID-19, the Federal Emergency Management Agency announced Tuesday as it launches a new campaign to raise awareness about the aid to eligible families. More than 965,000 people have died in the U.S. from the virus.
The COVID-19 Funeral Assistance program provides up to $9,000 per funeral and covers COVID-19 related deaths since Jan. 20, 2020. The average amount awarded per death is $6,500, according to FEMA.
“FEMA’s COVID-19 Funeral Assistance program has helped provide over 300,000 people with critical financial relief during a time of such unexpected, unimaginable and widespread loss,” said FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell in a statement.
To be eligible for reimbursement, death certificates for those who died after May 16, 2020, must indicate that the death was attributed to COVID-19.
For deaths that occurred in the early months of the pandemic — from Jan. 20 to May 16, 2020 — death certificates must be accompanied with a signed statement from a medical examiner, coroner or the certifying official listed on the certificate indicating that COVID-19 was the cause or a contributing cause of death.

Why in the hell do we, the taxpayers, have to pay for anyone’s funeral, COVID or not? I can just imagine deaths from auto accidents, drowning, surgery, etc. becoming “COVID deaths” to get free funerals.
What % of these “covid” deaths, that are being offered FUNERAL assistance, were also jab victims?
Such an odd payback category....although, nothing surprises us, with these folks, anymore.
Great for business. The business of fake death certificates coming to a mall near you.
Perhaps a roundabout payback to funeral companies?
Do these payments go directly to the families, or via a funeral company?
Who is monitoring these payouts? Same folks “monitoring” EBT fund payouts?
Just a couple of questions I can quckly come up with.
Yup.
Shifty eyed funeral home owner: “Hey bud, you want a covid death certificate? I can arrange a nice one for you. Gonna cost you though”
Why does the government pay money for those who die of one specific disease? Why not other diseases? Why did the government feel that it was compelled to send us checks? What was unique about that disease?
Why is covid a privileged disease?
What are the criteria that the next disease must fulfill for it to become privileged?
““Hey bud, you want a covid death certificate? I can arrange a nice one for you. Gonna cost you though””
But you gotta die first!!
“”Why did the government feel that it was compelled to send us checks?””
A question you could ask of any bureaucrat and you would be very old yourself before you received a truthful answer.
Is this a good time mention the 600,000 Americans who died from CDC’s ‘CoVID protocol’? The protocol prevented the early prophylaxis and treatment of CoVID during its replicating phase, resulting in greater numbers of hospitalizations. Compare our 2M deaths to Dr. Zelenko’s HCQ AZPak, who had over 1000 patients of CoVID with a single death, and a handful of hospitalizations, usually from co-morbidities. When CDC tried to duplicate Zelenko’s success, they changed the dosage, waited until after replication phase, didn’t use zinc, and ended up denying the HCQ as ‘horsepaste’ not useful for CoVID.
That seems like orchestrated murder to me.
Yes.
But that was meant for the family of the deceased.
More covid fraud - keep those numbers up!
This is bribery to goose the death stats.

Note this bit in particular...
“...This policy change was made after consulting with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention officials and other health experts. The new policy provides applicants, as well as medical authorities, coroners and jurisdictions, flexibility to attribute a death to COVID-19 without amending the death certificate. The change also provides flexibility with documentation for the period before the CDC-published and implemented COVID-19 death certificate guidance in the spring of 2020...”
Handy, that, eh?
