From my experience, AF fighter jocks were bad-asses, everyone else...meh.
During my two years at Hahn, I recall many splendid conversations in the Officers Club.
One night, I was getting it pretty good from a young pilot, when a Major went up to him and said, "you might want to treat him with a little more respect. I've seen his performance down in the Hole, and his unit is worth a full point on Base Survivability." lol
That was my role in base alerts...Army Liasion Officer. I was the only officer in my battery (besides my boss) with a TS clearance, for access to the Wing CP. I was there the entire time. I didn't mind, it was a 4 day camping trip for everyone else, nothing to do except put on a dog and pony show when the evaluators came around.
The last time my brother-in-law, the woke Air Force full bird about to make general was visiting... he was explaining to us how “diversity is the military’s greatest strength”. Obviously, the way a desk jockey makes General in the Air Force without ever learning to fly is by being a leftist suck up. It is more than a little nauseating. My wife’s sister hasn’t had sex with him for years and has suspected that he has been having an affair with his bestest buddy who is above him in the chain of command.
