I was enlisted and got out back in 2004 before things got crazy.
My AFSC was also around 99% male.

Thank you for your service. My dad was in the Air Force ROTC in college, but while he was still in flight training a flight surgeon discovered that he had a severe heart murmur and washed him completely out of the military.

My wife's dad enlisted in the army in 1938 and retired in 1966. He was highly decorated from combat situations that he somehow survived. There are actually two pictures of him in the Spearhead Division book from WWII. He saw a lot of action during his career and was wounded many times. During Korea her mother was told that he was missing and presumed dead, but actually he was in a Coma for months and not correctly identified. And he made it back from that one as well. He was the toughest old guy that you can imagine.

I am glad that he is not alive to see what our military's officer corps has devolved into...

That sucks for your father, but not his fault.

Sounds like the FIL was a comic book hero. :)
Older Veterans would not be happy with today.
I’m not and I’m not even old...

Great story about your dad. My father was a USAF Air Traffic Controller and both my Grandfathers served as MPs in General Patton’s Third Army. Even though I miss them greatly, I am relieved that they are not alive to see what has been done to our military. I know that my both my Grandfathers would want to line the current Officer Corps against a wall. Hell, they use to joke that my dad took the “easy” route by joining the Air Force.
