Russia has asked China for military equipment to support its invasion of Ukraine, according to US officials, sparking concern in the White House that Beijing may undermine western efforts to help Ukrainian forces defend their country.
US officials told the Financial Times that Russia had requested military equipment and other assistance since the start of the invasion. They declined to give details about what Russia had requested.
Another person familiar with the situation said the US was preparing to warn its allies, amid some indications that China may be preparing to help Russia. Other US officials have said there were signs that Russia was running out of some kinds of weaponry as the war in Ukraine extends into its third week.

My guess is that they never fully replenished their stocks from fighting in Syria. They expected this war to go very quickly and so didn’t think that would be a problem. Now that it has gone on for longer than anticipated, they realize they’re running out of some very important crap.

Time for China to relieve Russia of their Siberian burden. Pidor Putin has weakened Russia. Now is the time for China to take back what is historically theirs.
The Chinese might help them economically or even provide weapons. I doubt they would do any more.

Russia could lease us the territory for 99 years, similar too the Brits deal with Hong Kong. No military bases just flush our toilet of the gang bangers.

Chinese built Migs, and tanks, and trucks and machine guns.
China gets to real world test its soldier equipment along with Chinese observers which is critical if they want to develop an effective projecting military force.
Well these same US officials said Russia was going to invade Ukraine and was soundly mocked here.
Well, they got pretty much an “F” grade in the Himalayas.
Russia would never have invaded if we didn’t have Biden, they knew they can do anything....so I think China will feel the same way.

I remember my Chinese history teacher in college talking about China’s ‘forgotten lands’ relinquished to Russia. Basically, everything from the Urals east is culturally claimed by China.
Yes. I think you’re right. Maybe once Putin realizes that China is his biggest enemy he will be asking Ukrainians to fight the Chinese on his side.
My bet is that this is just a part of the “China Peacemaker” narrative. China will be lauded worldwide... comrades!
China paid for the invasion and this “China Peacemaker” narrative was a part of their ROI.
Along with buying Russia for pennies on the dollar.
