IMO, in a political sense farmers are OVER represented relative to their economic importance to society. They hold some spell over the GOP.

I will totally agree that government aid has been as helpful to farmers as it has to Amtrak, the airlines and public education.

As a retired teacher, I can safely state that the NEA/AFT owns the DemonRat party.
