Putin Accuses Ukraine of Using Civilians as Shields In Call with France’s Macron, Germany’s Scholz

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin says he “informed” the leaders of France and Germany of the “real situation” in Ukraine in a three-way telephone call on Saturday, alleging various “gross violations of the international humanitarian law” by Ukraine.

President Putin, according to the Kremlin’s official readout of the conversation, accused “the Ukrainian army and police [of] extrajudicial killings of dissenters, hostage taking and the use of civilians as human shields, deployment of heavy weaponry in residential areas, in proximity to hospitals, schools, kindergartens, and so on” as the three leader discussed Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which the Kremlin described more prosaically as a “military operation to protect Donbass”.

Ukraine has published multiple videos of it themselves.

They’re not even embarrassed or ashamed of it.

Example? I can prove everything I say. And I have been warning about Russia on this forum for some years, even before the media tried tying Trump to them (it was the other way around). You, on the other hand, blaming the USA for Covid19, cannot possibly prove such a thing without relying on anti-logical "sources" from Russia and China.

I heard the story this week about the Uke soldiers in a certain town posting photos of their school accommodations on social media.

The Russians used artillery on all the schools in the vicinity, and rubbed the Uke soldiers out.

This is Russian armor clearly invading Ukrainian neighborhoods. Of course Ukrainians will fight them there. But where are the civilians being used as human shields? Do you assume that every battle in a neighborhood occurred with Ukrainians marching out civilians to take the hit?

All of these reports on both sides are things that may just be propaganda, so I'm dismissing all of it. What matters is what is not in dispute -- that large Russian military forces are attacking Ukraine and Ukrainian people hundreds of miles away from either Donbass or Crimea, are shelling Kyiv, etc..

Whatever excuse anyone wants to make for Russia regarding the Donbass and Crimea, their large scale offensive has moved well beyond that, and they have no excuse. That's the bottom line, and I hope the Ukrainians keep killing them until they leave.

We need only look at the more than 1,000,000 Ukranian women, children and elderly that have already fled the country with another estimated 1,500,000 trying to get out and being stopped by Putin shelling the evacuation routes.
