...On Friday, Horgan said he hoped any potential protesters coming to Victoria would instead redirect their efforts to "positive outcomes."

"I would just say to those people, goodness me, get a hobby," said Horgan. "Find something else to do with your time."

"Ninety-four per cent of adults in British Columbia are vaccinated, so we are spending an awful lot of time with a small group of people who seem to have nothing better to do with their time besides drive around in circles honking their horns," he said.

Yes, those peasants are still revolting. We cannot allow that, now, can we?

“Small group.of people with nothing better to do”.
Sounds like a description of the homo movement.
It grew and prospered. Why can’t the truckers?

Ninety-four per cent of adults in British Columbia are vaccinated
/\

And they are and will continue to die sudden and rare deaths in ever growing numbers,

so don’t expect that small group do anything but get larger and larger as folks continue to see their family and friends die and they realize what has been forced upon them.

Imo.

This premier is a liar.

I bet nowhere near 94% of British Columbia’s people have been jabbed with the fake vaccines, aka clot-shots.

Masks no longer required in BC as of yesterday, vaccine passports to be phased out by early April. Things are moving in the right direction. Government has backed down on enforcing vaccination status among health care workers.

Protests or no protests, the unknown is whether or not some new wave will force backward steps in the future. The protests in Victoria (BC’s capital city) may appear to be pointless to some given the pace of change, but there are a few issues still to be resolved and also it’s good to have a presence in case things do go backwards.

That being said, I think they’ve handled this better than most jurisdictions, and public opinion is quite favorable outside of our libertarian bubble where a social-democrat government is never going to be very popular. The reality is that a lot of people are vaccinated, whether it’s 94% or not I couldn’t say, but I don’t know anyone except my spouse who isn’t vaccinated (and resident here, I know people in Ontario who aren’t vaccinated). I’ve never heard anecdotally of anyone in this town who didn’t get the jab(s). And when they organized a minor protest at our nearby border crossing (not a major commercial route) twenty people showed up, from three nearby towns with a combined population of over 25k, so that tells you something.

I haven’t changed my mind at all about the sensible reasons to avoid the jabs, but the reality is, mine (ours?) is a very isolated minority position in this part of the world. Think Oregon without Antifa.
