They suspected that the soldiers themselves did not know what to do with the occupied territories. In any case, said the mayors, the Russian troops had not been received with flowers by the locals, as Russia's top leaders had expected. Volodymyr Kovalenko, the mayor of Nova Kakhovka, has set up a temporary office in a municipal utility building because the town hall has been occupied by the Russians, who are using it as their headquarters. Kovalenko said they had appointed an administrator, and imposed a curfew.

I spent most of a decade in Moscow, and have spent weeks in Ukraine, and as such have many friends, American, Russian, and Ukrainian, who are even now on the ground in several locations.
What is happening is close to 25 year sop, but this is not the point here.
The following request for prayer are happening —

“Urgent need for prayer. Right now near Kiev are buses of Christian volunteers from Western Ukraine who were evacuating people.
These buses have been surrounded and are under seige.
One of the drivers is our relative. Please send this to anyone you can. Tonight frost is expected below -10° degrees celsius.”
I may not be able to learn what happened next.
This is the third instance of a group of unarmed Christian’s with busses trying to evacuate elderly, handicapped, and women and children.
They have encountered many wounded and dying, including many injured and orphaned children.
Some of the Christian’s have been shot, including Russian, Ukrainian, and foreign.
As well, I personally have good American friends on the ground in several locations across Ukraine.
Some of them long term missionaries, and some have now gone silent anywhere from 3-12 days now...
At this point, if for no other reason than “FOR RECORD” I have reached out Congressman and Senators, and friends in EUCOM Molesworth, Germany, Poland, and Romania, and IC.
Some of my friends in the abc’s (including a few GS 15’s in DC area, who are obviously in sig positions), have received blowback from poc’s at State and NSC, and or careless disposition, when knowledge and whereabouts were passed along, of Americans in need of help over two weeks ago, or Americans trying to evacuate Ukrainians -
