When they can knock it over the fence, then maybe. No, forget it.
My son played competitive baseball and in the early years there were some girls who could hold their own against the boys. One girl in particular was unhittable as a pitcher, and had a high batting avg. Her parents were sure she’d at least play high school ball. Nope. The boys got bigger, stronger and faster through puberty, obviously, and she chose softball instead at around 14. She ended up going to college on a softball scholarship. Baseball, no way.
