A third Russian major general has been killed as the Ukrainian resistance continues to frustrate Vladimir Putin's invasion.
The death of Major General Andrei Kolesnikov of the 29th Combined Arms Army is another blow to Russian forces who have been plagued by tactical errors and surprised by the Ukrainian fighting spirit
It follows the killings of Maj Gen Vitaly Gerasimov, chief of staff of the 41st Army, who died outside Kharkiv, along with other senior officers and Maj Gen Andrei Sukhovetsky.

3rd, but likely not the last.
Are they really generals or is it like a bank or financial firm where you start out as a senior vice president.
A 3 star general. pretty good hunting.
I don’t know if this is true or not. But why should I trust this story? There is so much fake news out there.
Good question. How is a Maj.General rank different in Russian military?
Even if it doesn’t change the strategic game much, it seems like it ought to demoralize the ranks some if your generals are getting taken out.
If it’s true, and that’s an if for now. Can you imagine three US Generals killed in ANY operation? Our pussified MBA generals “lead” from a bunker two time zones away.
Smart shooting. Always target THE ONES WHO GIVE THE ORDERS.
I would imagine some well long distance shooters, Javelins and drones could absolutely wreak havoc on them Russians.
Sorta almost me think if could be maybe friendly fire...from the “I WANT TO GO HOME” crowd
“Killin’ Generals could get to be a habit with me!”
“it ought to demoralize the ranks some if your generals are getting taken out.”
Depends a bit on how liked the general is.
Some of these may be their own side going “sir, could you please come over here and look up at that drone in the distance.”
The Russians admitted the previous two, and I’m guessing they’ll admit this one as well.
Because the Ghost of Kyiv did it...
Good to see that some Generals have some skin in the game.
Now, add in some politicians. It will make them think a bit more before deciding upon courses of action.
I think the question is not whether he is dead but who killed him.
Given the apparent lack of progress taking Kviv, I wonder how many Generals Putin is going to kill...
Another dead Russian General...
... You hate to see it.
