Russia opened a criminal case against Facebook's parent Meta Platforms on Friday and moved to designate it as an "extremist organisation" after the social network changed its hate speech rules to allow users to call for violence against Russians in the context of the war with Ukraine.

If I were a conspiracy theorist I'd think that Russia and China were behind the woke BS and lies that we have been subjected to. They have spies in Facebook, etc. who were sowing dissent by spreading hatred among Americans.
It would be perfect strategy to undermine the resolve that the American people will need if we do end up in a war.

I was told by a man who had worked in the US Intelligence community that Russian and Chinese money was pouring into the US to fund the riots of 2020. You need not be a conspiracy theorist to see why our enemies would do that.
That’s not a conspiracy theory. This stuff is clearly being pushed from abroad. When China makes comments like “America needs to get their racism problem settled”, they know what they are doing.
This is a reasonable action on Russia’s part. If calls for violence are forbidden, they should be forbidden directed at ANY people.

It might get interesting when Russia reviews Facebook postings from people applying for visas. Be funny if they find something like ‘death to Putin’, but then allow the visit, only to jail the person when he arrives.
