As Russia intensifies its assault on Ukraine, it is getting a helping hand from China in spreading inflammatory and unsubstantiated claims that the U.S. is financing biological weapons labs in Ukraine.
The U.S. has been quick to refute Russia’s conspiracy theory, and the United Nations has said it has received no information that would back up the claim, but that hasn’t stopped it from proliferating.
“This Russian military operation has uncovered the secret of the U.S. labs in Ukraine, and this is not something that can be dealt with in a perfunctory manner,” ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian said Thursday.

I heard two versions. First, they are medical labs to study epidemics. The problem is that the budget comes from Pentagon. Another version is that the labs were to deal with the leftover stockpiles of Soviet bioweapons. It made sense three decades ago, but now isn’t credible.

...and even given the FLAT-OUT LIES we’re being told by our government and media, MANY here still believe them, and suck it right up. I had some optimism with the virus, given the way everyone here seemed to understand that we were being played by the same government and media, but I guess my optimism was misplaced...we’re still suckers for them.
