I would like to see the extended version of these videos. The clips are pasted together to make it seem like this was a quick strike with multiple hits. But, all the tanks were set up in the same direction and that is the direction they eventually seemed to advance.
It feels like a manicured video (propaganda).

Tanks don’t do well in urban warfare. The Russians have seemed to have forgotten what they painfully learned in 1945.

Classic attack strategy on a stretched out column. The Germans did this to the Romans in France some 2000 years ago and it’s happened over and over through history. No one ever learns.
What’s killing the Russians here is their lack of coordination between infantry, armor, and air cover. It’s like watching World War Two tactics being used in a 21st Century asymmetric battlespace.
The Ukrainians are making the best of what they have with $100 drones to do the spotting, GPS for aiming the arty, and then some obviously very well skilled artillery troops dropping shells right on top of tanks.
It would appear that the vision of quick conquest on the part of the forces under the command and direction of Vladimir Putin is fast fading. At best now a slow meat grinder, and more on the order of unending atrocities, this is reduced almost to trench warfare. The Russians cannot make a sufficiently powerful blow to cause the Ukrainians to throw down their arms, the the Ukrainians, valiant soldiers they may be, have too little logistical support to throw the aggressors out of the country.
But nobody seems to be ready to flip the switch to the “off” position.
A couple of A10 Warthogs coming in from both ends of the column would be fun to watch.
The Ukrainians have now claimed to have killed more than 12,000 Russians....
Devastating losses. Almost a thousand a day. Can imagine how many wounded.
....The Russian tyrant expected a quick victory when he ordered the invasion two weeks, ago but his forces have become bogged down and now regularly hit civilians......
If you want some idea of how effed up russian intelligence and their military is, watch the HBO docuseries Chernobyl. The disaster was largely due to state secrets, lies, corruption etc. Still the same today.
The Ukrainians should fly drones over the column at night blasting out the A10 burp to terrorize them. lol
The Ukrainian specials forces numbers around 5000 and we’re trained by the US navy seals.
Tanks are terrific, but artillery is awesome!
BTW, I can’t help but wonder if the proliferation of Javelin-type weapons means the end of tanks in warfare.
Not so sure that was artillery, Drone or Javelin hits as they were dead on. Looks like many tanks still were motoring on although hit.

You’re giving the Russians too much credit. Their tactics are not nearly as good as the WWII Panzer Blitzkrieg tactics.
