No APPARENT progress. As if the negotiators are gonna’ tell Reuters what the items discussed are. These media folks seem to be very poor sleuthers.
Well, I would not have immediately expected a full and complete resolution to matters at this point in time.

Watched Lavrov presser. The most striking thing to me is the way he fiddled. Fiddled with the cord from his earpiece, winding and unwinding. Fiddled with his notes. Never seen this from him before.

I’m guessing that if Ukraine accepts any of the Russian points, then they can kiss sovereignty goodbye. Whereas if the Russian negotiator accepts any of the Ukrainian points, he can say goodbye to this cold, cruel Earth. Both sides know this, so they’re probably just playing poker and waiting for events on the battlefield to sort out the answers for them.

He doesn’t look nervous to me. He looks like he is thinking and/or possibly annoyed. He voice didn’t sound nervous either. Similar to how he looked when he talked with that idiot British female foreign secretary.
I’m not a body language expert; I’m male.
Maybe he sees where the US induced stonewalling is heading. We have already been committed to a generational trillion dollar arm race here. Perhaps Lavrov sees that that is not the worst of it. You want to watch someone fiddling, worrying, sweating, praying, crying, perhaps dying if these talks fail, check me out.
can’t make peace too fast now! Must wait for the $7 billion appropriation passe last night to clear the bank. And ceasefire before will spoil the soup.
