South Koreans elected right-wing candidate Yoon Suk-yeol as their new president on Wednesday, Yonhap News Agency reported on Thursday local time in Seoul.
Yoon ran a successful campaign for the presidency as the official nominee of South Korea’s right-wing, opposition People Power Party (PPP). The Korea Herald described Yoon as “the South Korean Trump,” referring to former United States President Donald Trump, in a profile of the conservative politician on March 2. The newspaper offered several parallels between Yoon and Trump that may have contributed to their comparison, including the following:

Great he won. My old karate instructor served in ‘nam alongside ROCs. He said they were vicious and very effective fighters. It won’t go well for Kim Jong Un should he invade.

But he owns things and has privacy.
I once got into a throw the tables and chairs fight with bunch if south african hoodlums. A South Korean guy came to my aid. Together we put those thugs away. Copped a few chairs to the head, but we finished the job. The SK guy was hard as nails but humble and a good hearted guy.
Finally, some good news.
They’d get their clock cleaned. The Nork army is a joke!
Obviously the Chinese would alter the equation. But as far as the two Koreas go the south actually has more active duty and reserves then the north does.
