I am a farmer and even with the EXTREMELY high inputs we are paying there is still profit in the high prices now. however if the Ukraine has to sit out a production year and fertilizer exports from Russia continue to be interrupted there could be serious supply issues. If we (US) have a poor crop due to weather drought and such we could certainly not only see astronomical prices for food but there is a real possibility of shortages leading to famine in some parts of the world.

Always appreciate input from people with expertise- kind of a grim outlook- time to stock up on flour.

Yep. And the west/midwest is already under drought conditions, didn’t get enough snow this winter. There are big concerns for corn and soy in addition to wheat.
