The gasoline for piston aircraft engines still contains lead. Keeps the valves cooler and maybe has higher octane rating.

Someone out there probably knows more about this.

Some stuff used to be called Ethyl.

Probably for Tetraethyl Lead.

Dad’s Pontiacs used it, so he kept it in the farm tank.

And I don’t remember anything else.
