I am amazed with the support for Zelensky, and the calls for war.

There's no call for war, a war is already going on. In case you haven't noticed, Russia is bombing the shit out of the Ukraine, destroying cities, homes, neighborhoods and anything else their bombs hit.......

Tell me why this is happening and convince me that Putin is justified in this barbarism and Zelensky deserves what is happening to the Ukraine.

Russia is in direct violation of the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances which Russian President Boris Yeltsin signed along with U.S. President Bill Clinton and British Prime Minister John Major in 1994.

Failure to do whatever is reasonably possible to help Ukraine maintain her sovereignty and security would also put the United States and the UK in violation of this agreement.

The Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances basically guaranteed Ukraine's sovereignty and security in exchange for surrendering her nuclear weapons after the fall of the Soviet Union. As a result, Ukraine gave up the world's third largest nuclear weapons stockpile between 1994 and 1996.
