In the days since Putin's devastating invasion of Ukraine, 230 companies have announced that they are withdrawing from Russia in protest, calling to mind the large-scale corporate boycott of Apartheid South Africa in the 1980s.
Nevertheless, some western companies have continued to operate in Russia undeterred; we identified 30 companies with particularly significant exposure to Russian markets.
The full list of companies that have curtailed operations in Russia as well as those that remain, as of March 7, can be seen below. (at the link)

Looks like the Russian Stock Market didn’t open again today.
I think Russia may have to end the war before they open the market back up.
WHY? I doubt you have any idea of the real understanding of this situation like so many others. Our real enemy is China , no Russia. We have no dog in the hunt with the Ukraine.
Read this and get an understanding:

many of those are companies with an actual physical presence (e.g., hotels). Abandonment of Russia means abandonment of those assets.
Every time you buy a cup of Starbucks coffee, a Ukrainian dies.
Luckily I have you to help me understand. My advance degrees and many years in Europe are no help to me understanding what is happening there.
I guess not
China is overseeing all of this, and I see the current Russia-China association as nothing more than the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact of 1939. It will last...for a while, until one or both violates the "arrangement." And it will happen, because neither of them can be trusted, nor do either of them trust the other. It's an arrangement of convenience, and each side thinks they will get the most from the other.
The same people concerned about Ukraine's borders are the same assholes who could care less about ours. I'm not about to join their circus. Russia and Ukraine have been at each other's throats for ages. Ukraine forces fought with the Nazis early in WWII against communist Russia. Neither of them are saints, and I don't give a rat's ass if they kill each other. This isn't a battle we need to join, or takes sides in.
Hear Hear! At least there are a few of us that understand we need to focus on the United States, not two corrupt kleptocracies that enrich our politicians through money laundering.
I have been very disappointed with FR during most of this. It seems like a site that mostly agrees with Democrats now, which is quite dismaying. I may have to take a break for awhile and look for a place where the concern is the obliteration of the Constitution taking place here.
Is Deep State planning to make any of the American companies whole using taxpayer money...?
Inquiring minds want to know...
I agree completely.
Thank you for your kind words. You have to learn to ignore the assholes. That's how I've managed to last here 24 years. There's still plenty of good people on FR. It doesn't matter what site you go to, they also have their good and bad, informed, and uninformed posters, malcontents, too. There's still plenty of sanity here on FR. I'll leave when I die.
