It already is, in case you haven’t noticed.
It would take a lot to “clean things up” down there. Mexican culture, for all its charm, is unbelievably corrupt and dysfunctional. Like our misadventures in Iraq and Afghanistan, the goal would have to be to change that.

Thousands are dead each year in the U.S. from fentanyl distributed by the cartels. At some point we’ll have to do something about it. I think the invasion and annexation of Northern Mexico is a possible solution, but we’ll need a great president with the resolve to save us before that happens.

That “cartel stuff” has been operating on our side of the border for years. We should send in the Delta team to raid and kill specific targets like that New Generation Jalisco Cartel. Take them out like Seal Team 6 took out Osama Bin Laden and left and carried his dead body back to base. We do not want to occupy Mexico. If the U.S, did that I bet that 90% of the Mexican people would approve.

Didn’t you hear, Biden moved the Southern U. S. border with Mexico to 49 degrees north latitude. So if you are living south of this, you are now living in Mexico.

I believe, although not necessarily due to Mexican cartels, it is already here but not publicized or promoted as such.
Just look at Chicago, New York and LA for examples of rampant out of control murders and drive by shootings, and to a lesser extent cities like St. Paul, Minnesota; Portland, Oregon; Tucson, Arizona; Toledo, Ohio; Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Austin, Texas; Rochester, New York; and Albuquerque, New Mexico, all of which set new records for homicides in 2021.
The only difference I see is that our murdering thugs are lazy and just shoot indiscriminately as they drive by and allow the authorities to do the dirty work of collecting and disposing of the bodies.
