Sounds like a great deal to end a war.

Russia is coming to the realization that they can't "win" this war.

Out of curiosity, I wonder what would happen if Ukraine accepts these conditions, but the rest of the world refuses to lift the sanctions until Russia pays reparations and leaves Crimea? This would leave Russia in an awkward situation. Would/could they continue the war, even though Ukraine has capitulated?

Perhaps we don’t know what they consider a win? If they achieved their goals which may not be obvious to us, they might consider that a win.
I guess speculation is a waste of time really.

Actually, that is probably how it will end up and maybe the best course. Stop the violence, regroup, and let the leaders sort it all out without the bombs dropping. None of this is worth dying for.
