Prince Charles is set to foot a part of the bill for Prince Andrew's sexual abuse lawsuit, according to reports.
The Prince of Wales will reportedly loan the Duke of York up to £7million, which will not include public money, after the royal agreed to pay a huge sum to his accuser Virginia Roberts to settle the case before it reached a jury.
Ms Roberts had alleged she was forced to have sex with the duke three times when she was 17 under the orders of the late paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
In January, she was given the go-ahead to sue Andrew, 61, for unspecified damages in a New York civil court.
But despite vowing to fight the allegations and repeatedly protesting his innocence, the prince last month agreed to pay a huge sum, reported to be some £12 million, to settle the case.
The Duke of York has ten days to pay the money to Ms Roberts as part of his deal, according to The Sun.

Would you ask your brother for $100? As a % of his wealth…that’s about what this is.
But, I understand your point.
Loan him the money? I don’t think it’s going to be paid back.
“Loan” is a noun. The verb is “To lend.”
She was no innocent. She is the most high priced ho in the world.
Charles is paying Andrew and Harry’s way and who knows who else. Almost wishing he’d adopt me.
There’s a new book that says MEghan’s reply to Charles asking if he could walk her down the aisle was, “Can we meet halfway?” with essentially is her placing herself on equal standing as the future kind of England.
My lib/lefty brother can go to his lib/lefty wife’s Democrat Party-loving parents for relief. I love the guy, but he’s chosen poorly with that family.
Charles doesn’t need a loan. His great private wealth comes from the Duchy, his property, estate management and farming business, which makes him independent of any funding from other members of the family, the state or anybody else.
“Andrews been the black sheep”
Yes he has but, he did fight with valor and bravery during the Faulkland War. He was a chopper pilot. Prince Andrew’s place on board HMS Invincible and the possibility of the Queen’s son being killed in action made the British Government apprehensive, and the Cabinet desired that Prince Andrew be moved to a desk job for the duration of the conflict. The Queen, though, insisted that her son be allowed to remain with his ship.
Prince Andrew remained on board Invincible to serve as a Sea King helicopter co-pilot, flying on missions that included anti-submarine warfare
and anti-surface warfare
, Exocet missile
decoy, casualty evacuation, transport, and search and air rescue. His personal life has been a train wreck. The best thing he can do for the Monarchy is to live a quite and obscure life and not associate with the royal family in public.
His personal life has been a mess.
You can bet the timing of this ain't a coinkydink.
WTG, Windsors!
Thanks, didn't know that. He's a slime ball.
Of course, you’re correct.
Note the blue and yellow flower arrangement behind the Queen. Whatever else, that, certainly, was no coincidence.
If I were the Ukrainians, I'd want a better acknowledgement than a measly flower arrangement.
Didn't know that, and didn't read the book. I knew Boies was a POS from 2000. There were a lot of threads here at the time. I've still got a meme that one Freeper made of what Boies' yellow legal pad notes must have looked like during Gore v. Bush. It was a hoot. I don't use a hosting site, so can't post it, but it was very funny. That's why his name stuck in my mind.
I'm an avid reader, but not of any current political, or current affairs stuff. I'm an avid historian, who reads about the history of the past, and some of what I read about that happened in the past, I see repeating itself today.
