They will have to diversify their assets—by class and location.

Agreed. Also consider that nobody really knows how many in China actually died during the pandemic but we also know that they are facing that very serious demographic crisis due to the one child only policy for all of those years. Furthermore, there was an article shared here earlier today about the very poor winter wheat crop showing in that country, probably along with other poorly performing agriculture there. And last but not least, their dam system (probably along with other important infrastructure there) is not in the best shape either.
