Bingo.

But, you do have to keep in mind that many equate anything nuclear related to evil — I refer to them as treehuggers, aka the simple minded. Liberals, commie trash, etc.

Ukraine has been vigorously investigating the prospect of uranium mining and enrichment and US may have supplied Kyiv with plutonium, Russian media reported.
Written By\Aparna Shandilya

Ukraine has been vigorously investigating the prospect of uranium mining and enrichment, according to a Russian source, and the US may have supplied Kyiv with plutonium used for nuclear weapon development. Ukraine has boosted its exploration of deep layers on the site of existing uranium mines, as well as the development of prospective uranium resources, in recent years, according to the source, particularly in the Nikolaev, Dnepropetrovsk, and Kirovograd regions, Sputnik reported.

In addition, officials in Kyiv have reportedly begun talks with multinational companies about supporting Ukraine in the development of its own uranium enrichment plants. Ukraine, according to the source, also obtained plutonium, most likely from the United States. A source who spoke to Sputnik said, “Initially, plutonium of the requisite purity was procured from overseas in order to speed up the research and development process. The US had previously given this material to its allies. There is reason to believe that there was Washington’s participation in the case of Ukraine.”

“Ever heard of that thing called “The Korean Conflict?””

Yeah. North Korea had no nukes. China had no nukes. And the Soviets had only primitive nukes, but they were not active or declared belligerents in the Korean War (though they provided North Korea with arms and materiel, and some Soviet pilots flew combat missions in North Korean labeled aircraft).

North Korea invaded South Korea on June 25, 1950, coincident with the US withdrawing the last combat troops from South Korea. So, no one attacked a nuclear power on June 25, 1950. And early in the war Truman publically stated no nukes would be employed.

Who knows what truth is.

I sure don’t turn to Tass to provide it. I prefer Pravda.

Good choice. That’s another reliable source. It ranks up there with CNN and MSNBC.

That is a story that literally came out the day before the invasion.

What matters is Zelenski made his speech to the Munich Security conference on Feb 19, and Putin responded with a speech on Feb 21...not what day some article is published in Western media.

-btw I suggest you read Putin's response in its entirety...although you may need to use a Russian media source to find the full text in English.

Makes you wonder if that nuke power plant attack had some enrichment facilities that the Russians were wary of. Israel has done this to Iran several times.

What rhetoric are you referring to?

I simply stated a basic documented fact and a personal opinion based on that fact.

Either you are inadvertently attributing a post by someone else to me or you are just a plain dumb az.

Simple innocent answer-Ukraine has 15 nuclear reactors. I would worry more about Russians shelling them.

Finally, a simple, reasonable answer that would explain why Ukraine would be looking for and enriching Uranium, it's to service their reactors.

Of course, this answer would mean that the news article would be basically correct.

The only remaining question would be how much are they enriching it?

Certainly better than your other comments.
