During these frightening times here’s a little Cold War hilarity. Nat Hiken, the creator and writer of Car 54 was a comedic genius who had the hutzpuh to broadcast this four months following the Cuban Missile Crisis. This is the funniest political sarcasm I’ve ever seen on TV.

The show was a hoot. I saw this episode a month or two ago on Decades.

I’ve watched that at least 10 times in my life, still laugh like hell. Compare the level of sarcastic humor in that show to the perversions and Christian/male/conservative/white ham handed bludgeoning being shoveled and called “humor” in hollyweird today.

I never had the privilege of watching it when It was originally on.   My Dad had pulled the tubes out of the TV so we would do our chores and play outside.   He of course told us it was broken but it stayed that way for six years.
