Pfizer and Moderna, manufacturers of the two most popular used vaccines in the United States and much of the rest of the world, are expecting to bring in $51 billion in vaccine sales this year, according to earnings statements published by the companies.

Pfizer expects to lead the way, with $32 billion in expected sales, with Moderna projecting $19 billion in revenue from its Covid shots.

Almost all of these sales are coming from the developed world, with major nations like the U.S., the UK, Germany and others having surplus of vaccines while many developing countries struggling to get their hands on the shots.

--- "Pfizer expects to lead the way, with $32 billion in expected sales, with Moderna projecting $19 billion in revenue from its Covid shots. Almost all of these sales are coming from the developed world...."

As of 5 March 2022, Johns Hopkins University Coronavirus Resource Center reports 5,989,892 "global deaths."

Source: https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/

( 5,989,892 "global deaths" / 7,881,609,702 global population ) x 100 = a global mortality rate of 0.076 %

The mortality rate of the "deadly" pandemic over more than two years is less than one-tenth of one percent of the global population.

Believe the "official" data? Then this was NEVER a health crisis. Don't believe the "official" data, whether all or in part, then this was still NEVER a crisis.

The "official" data continues after more than two years to report that Communist China's "total deaths" as of 5 March 2002 is 6,190 out of a population of more than 1.3 billion.

"Never let a crisis go to waste." Create a crisis and "Pfizer and Moderna set to make $51 BILLION in COVID-19 vaccine sales in 2022: Global health leaders call for pharma companies to make shots available in the developing world...."

Global. Health. Leaders. A global race for profits and control.

How to increase your profits:

1. Pfizer and Moderna fund NGOs.

2. NGOs pressure "rich countries" to send aid money to Third World countries for Covid vaccines.

3. Third World dictators skim some of the aid money, then dutifully buy Covid vaccines with the remaining money.

Bottom line: Pfizer and Moderna invest millions in NGOs. Reap billions in government subsidized vaccine sales.

Pfizer spent $14B on research in 2021.

Mostly on drugs that will never see the market.

Then there are billions spent to defend itself from shysters.

I find it mostly ignorant morons use the term “Big Pharma.”

The doctors and scientist working at Moderna and Pfizer are doing great work.

—————————————————————————————————————————

Both Pfizer and Moderna are PUBLICLY OWNED Companies.

The ignorant seem to have this vision in their heads of CEO counting mounds of cash on the office desk or something.

Many 401Ks and various Mutual Funds are invested in those Companies along with private share holders.

I bet if some of these people angry about Capitalism were to check their 401Ks they might be shocked at what they find.

I suggest you check your 401k because YOU might be profiting from the dreaded Covid vaccine.

You clearly don’t understand money, and capitalism.

Really your hate, and envy over Corporate profits by publicly owned companies matches that of Leftist during their Wall Street “Sit-In” a few years back.

Yes, of course, still dont change the fact of how many billionaires were created within Big Pharma just in 2 years of COVID nor your defense of it. But yeah, given how much money they make verses what they spend, maybe they can NOT be protected anymore from lawsuits from their ‘vaccines,’ yeah? Pfft.

"Publicly owned" companies are usually run by a few large shareholders.

"Publicly owned" companies often buy politicians to rig the market for their benefit.

"Publicly owned" Big Pharma's politicians used tax money to buy tons of harmful Covid vaccines (and boosters), then forcing this poison onto unwilling or duped victims.

There is nothing free market about product that is mandated where the corporation is provided a government waiver of any liability. That is corporatism, not capitalism.

You clearly don’t understand money, and capitalism.

Back in the 1980s and 1990s, most conservatives offered knee-jerk, Ayn Randian praise to any Big Business.

But that worship of Big Business began to crack with Pat Buchanan and Ross Perot's populist revolutions.

Today, many conservatives no longer equate liberty or free enterprise with blind, uncritical support of Big Business.

“Pfizer spent $14B on research in 2021.”

Where did Pfizer get the money. Let’s look just at vaccine funding grants to Pfizer for vaccine research from the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority, an office the the Department of Health and Human Services (BARDA) which provides grants to promote research in the development of medical devices, tests, vaccines and therapeutics. Here are the actual grants for Covid vaccine research paid to Pfizer:

July 21, 2020 — $1.95 billion
December 22, 2020 — $2.01 billion
February 11, 2021 — $2.01 billion
July 21, 2021 — $4.87 billion
Oct 22, 2021 — $1.2 billion

Pfizer also received BARDA development grants for Paxlovid — an emergency use oral antiviral for Covid treatment. Here are the actual grants:
November 17, 2021 — $5.295 billion
January 9, 2022 — $442.1 million

Here are the Moderna Covid grants from BARDA alone:
April 16, 2020. $430.3 Million
May 24, 2020 $53 million
July 25, 2020 $471.6 million
Aug 11, 2020 $1.5 billion
Dec 11, 2020 $1.7 billion
Feb 11, 2021. $1.75 billion
Mar 12, 2021. $62.7 million
Apr 18, 2021 $236.3 million
June 15, 2021. $144.1 million
June 15, 2021. $3.3 billion

Merk’s awards for Molnupiravir, an oral antiviral for Covid
Jun 7 2021. $1.2 billion
Nov 5, 2021 two grants for $589 million each or $1.8 billion total.

There are pages of grants on government websites. Spend a little time on the internet and look at the billions pharmaceutical companies are raking in from the taxpayer for all kinds of research, not just Covid projects.

Note these are just the Covid funding grants. Billions of dollars are streaming from BARDA to pharmaceutical companies for other research. BARDA is just one federal agency funding pharmaceutical research. Grants come from many other organizations in the government including the military. Much of that funding is not visible to the public. Pharmaceutical companies are big beneficiaries of government research grants to major research universities. Likely if someone had the time to sift through agency grants benefiting pharmaceutical companies it would become clear most of the billions of dollars Pfizer and others are spending on research come from the federal government.

As to your assertion “Then there are billions spent to defend itself from shysters”, perhaps you were not aware the pharmaceutical companies have blanket immunity from claims related to the Covid vaccines. Consider also that perhaps the lawsuits for some of the defective products pharmaceutical companies produced over the years actually had merit. Do you remember Thalidomide, Zantac, or Vioxx? Take a look at the following link with a long list drugs removed from the market by the FDA because the risks associated with them outweigh the benefits — i.e. they have significant safety issues which cannot be corrected. Perhaps you believe the millions of people harmed by innocently taking these drugs are shysters who deserve no compensation. https://prescriptiondrugs.procon.org/fda-approved-prescription-drugs-later-pulled-from-the-market/

Consider all of the sales for Covid vaccines are to the federal government which is providing the shots “free” to the public. So the pharmaceutical companies didn’t pay the development costs, they have zero cost for selling since they only have one customer (the government), and they have no product liability. Billions in profits, record executive bonus payments, all courtesy of the taxpayer. Even better, since the shot isn’t working as advertised, people are now receiving a fourth “booster” shot, all paid for by the taxpayer.

Yes, people who took the vaccines and who are now suffering from heart disease, neurological problems, and even death, are not suing the pharmaceutical companies because Congress gave the pharmaceutical companies full immunity from product liability claims. Nor in most cases are the victims of the vaccine receiving any government assistance. They are bankrupting themselves on medical bills for the damages caused by “vaccines” that neither prevent the vaccinated from getting Covid or spreading it. Vaccines that don’t even meet the historical definition of vaccine — the government changed the definition of vaccine because these pharmaceutical products didn’t meet the standard. Vaccines that at best offer protection for a few weeks, not months, much less years like vaccines did in the past. As a result, the pharmaceutical companies have a perpetual revenue stream.

Perhaps, as you assert, the doctors and scientists at Moderna and Pfizer are doing great work. We, the taxpayers are funding most, if not all, of it. If only everyone could start a business where the government would pay for the R&D, shield the company from product liability, and buy the product even if it doesn’t work as expected.
