Vlad’s war seems to be such a big hit back home that he threatens 15 years in a gulag for anyone who talks about it, and is going to lock down the country to defend against an uprising.

Fear Of Martial Law In Russia Sparks ExodusInteresting.
This is the first time the world's population has gotten so much information (Propaganda or not), before they were trapped by a disaster, and while all warfare has economic causes and effects, this is the first time the economics weapons were announced with such publicity.
It would make sense that people would react to economic threat that they perceive will affect them severely by taking flight.
